This triple distilled single malt has been matured exclusively in Pedro Ximenez casks to create a full flavoured whiskey. Heavy sherry, honey, raisins, and a hint of marzipan on the nose. Full of complexity, with a strong influence of sherry, mixed fruit, notably raisins, and sultanas with a satisfyingly long linger on the palate.
Six generations in the making, this charismatic range of Irish Whiskey was carefully selected by members of the Egan family and proudly represents over 160 years of heritage. P & H Egan were a famous old company based in Tullamore where their business was bottling wine and whiskey for the domestic market. The company has now been revived by the descendants of the original founders.
In 2018 the Egan family released Egan’s Fortitude, a whiskey that has been aged exclusively in PX casks and Legacy Reserve I, which is aged in ex-bourbon casks for a minimum for 15 years and limited to 1,000 bottles.
